import { Sently } from 'sently-sdk';

const sently = new Sently(process.env.SENTLY_API_KEY);

await sently.emails.send({

What you get

  • Your own domains

    Send from an address on a domain you own. Add the DNS records once and Sently checks them for you.

  • Delivery events

    See when an email was sent, delivered, opened, clicked, bounced or marked as spam, per recipient.

  • Webhooks

    Get those same events posted to your app, signed so you can check they came from Sently.

  • Blocked list handled for you

    Hard bounces and spam complaints are added to a blocked list, and later sends to those addresses are skipped.

  • Simple API

    One POST to send an email. A small Node SDK, an idempotency key for safe retries, and clear error messages.

  • Plain-language dashboard

    Domains, keys, webhooks and every email in one place, described in words rather than jargon.

Questions

What do I need before I can send?
A domain you control, so you can add three DNS records. After the records are found, you can send from any address on that domain.
How long does domain verification take?
Usually a few minutes. DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to spread, and Sently keeps checking until the records show up.
Can I try it without paying?
Yes. The free plan covers a few thousand emails a month. See pricing for the exact limits.
Do you keep the contents of my emails?
The subject, recipients and status are stored so you can look an email up later. Message bodies are kept only as long as needed to deliver and show the email in your dashboard.
What happens if I go over my monthly limit?
Sending pauses instead of billing you by surprise. You can move to a larger plan and carry on straight away.
Is there an SDK?
There is a Node SDK, and the API is plain HTTP so any language works. The docs show both.
